God Is Smaller Than You Think

I was surprised at first
God's not as tall as I expected
I used to imagine him like Zeus
Somehow invisible and undetected
With hands that could open and part the sky

But it makes sense
When you think of what we know
He's a million billion years old and it's a fact of life:
You shrink as you grow old

God's been around for a long, long time
But he's still the Almighty planet maker
I'm told he is infinite and yet the father of us all
The father of the universe who finally showed up to return my call

I guess he's really not shrunk too much
Considering he was the first
He's bigger than I would have expected
He wears medium size shirts
