ABOUT AMERICAN ZEN

Each of us has our own perspective of what American Zen is. That's the beauty of our band and Buddhism in general: it's personal.

Coyote's the most determined to study and discover the depths of Buddhist religion. Me, I love the books. I read more books than those guys. Well, maybe not more than Coyote, but we all read different books for different reasons. The last book I read, AUTHOBIOGRAPHY OF A YOGI, was really cool.

I like to venture into the worlds of science fiction also. Nobody else likes horror films either, but I do.

That's me playing the synthesizer on "In The Darkness." I like those old style synthesizers. Oh yeah, I just saw CLOCKWORK ORANGE again the other day. Great music. That he/she really played some awesome ARP on that soundtrack.

Sci-fi music isn't really an American Zen thing. Maybe it should be. Well, we'll see what happens. Maybe I'll get a chance to do a soundtrack for a sci-fi movie. That'd be cool!
