Weighted past

The darkness brings

One year lover

One year free

Time's up for me

 

I say, "I love you"

You say the same

Was I the piece of a puzzle

Without a name

 

On off

Over and done

Must admit it sure was fun

On-off switch

Anchor on a string

Tied to the lever

The darkness you bring

 

Time to time

You smile and listen

Seeing what could be mine

 

But when I reach

I miss the breach

That joins me to you
